Size Charts & Measuring Guide
Looking for the perfect fit? We are happy to help.
To ensure that PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) provides full protection, a proper fit is essential. Only when workwear and gloves fit perfectly can maximum comfort and safety be guaranteed. Since cuts and international standards vary, we have created a clear guide to help you find your way.
To simplify your selection and help avoid returns, you will find detailed size charts here for workwear, safety shoes, and work gloves. Additionally, our measurement diagrams show you exactly how to accurately determine dimensions such as hand or chest circumference.
What to Keep in Mind When Measuring:
Consistency across the brand: Our Fitzner products follow uniform sizing standards within their categories. Generally, measuring carefully once is enough to find your size across the entire range.
Precision counts: Use our graphics to identify the exact measurement points.
Metric units: Use a standard measuring tape (centimeters) to avoid errors caused by unit conversions.
When in doubt, size up: If your measurements fall between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger option to ensure unrestricted freedom of movement.
Practical Tip: If you don't have a measuring tape handy, simply use a piece of string and measure it afterward with a folding ruler or a standard ruler.

Measuring Guide: How to Determine Your Correct Size
To ensure the optimal fit of your protective equipment, determine your size based on your individual body measurements. Use a flexible measuring tape and compare your results with our size chart
Measurement Points at a Glance:
A. Body Height: Stand upright without shoes and measure from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet.
B. Chest Circumference: Lead the measuring tape horizontally under the armpits and across the fullest part of the chest.
C. Waist Circumference: Measure horizontally around your natural waistline (where you would usually wear a belt) without pulling the tape too tight.
D. Inseam (Inside Leg): Measure along the inside of the leg from the crotch to the sole of the foot (without shoes).
Important Technical Information:
Standard Reference: All specifications are approximate values and are based on the European standard EN 13402-3:2017
Tolerances: Individual deviations in body measurements may occur depending on the manufacturer
Note on Fit: Please note that body measurements are not the same as finished garment measurements. The finished dimensions of the clothing include the necessary allowances for freedom of movement and comfort.

Disposable Overalls: Choosing the Right Size
When handling hazardous substances safely, an optimal fit is essential. Only a correctly fitting overall guarantees full protective performance with maximum freedom of movement. To determine the right size for you, please rely on your individual body measurements rather than conventional clothing sizes.
How to Measure Correctly:
A. Body Height: Stand upright and measure from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet (without shoes).
B. Chest Circumference: Measure the circumference at the widest part of the chest, horizontally under the armpits. Ensure you are breathing normally and your arms are hanging loosely at your sides.
Tip: If you do not have a measuring tape at hand, use a piece of string to determine the measurements and then check the length using a folding ruler or a standard ruler.
Based on these key values (Body Height and Chest Circumference), you can select the corresponding model from our size chart. This ensures a secure and reliable fit, even during intensive physical activities.
| Size | Body Height in cm (A) | Chest Circumference in cm (B) |
|---|---|---|
| S | 156 – 164 cm | 84 – 92 cm |
| M | 164 – 172 cm | 92 – 100 cm |
| L | 172 – 180 cm | 100 – 108 cm |
| XL | 180 – 188 cm | 108 – 116 cm |
| XXL | 188 – 196 cm | 116 – 124 cm |
| 3XL | 194 – 204 cm | 124 – 132 cm |
Finding Your Correct Work Glove Size
The decisive measurements for finding the correct size of your work gloves are hand circumference and hand length.
Measuring Hand Circumference: Measure your hand circumference at the widest point. The circumference in mm determines your corresponding glove size (see the table below).
Measuring Hand Length: Measure your hand length from the tip of the middle finger to the base of the palm. The length in mm determines your corresponding glove size (see the table below).
The correct size is an essential foundation for the wearing comfort of a work glove. For easy size identification, our work gloves with knitted cuffs feature color-coded seams (see the table below).

How to Find Your Ideal Shoe Size
A safety shoe must withstand harsh working conditions while simultaneously providing maximum wearing comfort. To determine the optimal shoe size for you, accurately measuring your foot length and foot width is essential. We help you find the perfect fit for your daily work routine.
Tips for Manually Determining Your Shoe Size
If you prefer to determine your required size using conventional methods, the following recommendations will help you achieve an accurate result:
- The Optimal Timing: We recommend measuring your feet toward the end of the working day. Since feet tend to expand slightly throughout the day and under physical strain, this ensures your safety shoes remain comfortable even during long periods of wear.
- Compare Both Feet: As feet are rarely identical, you should always measure both feet and use the measurement of the longer foot as your guide.
- Precise Measurement: Determine the exact distance from the heel to the longest toe in millimeters. Using this value, you can find your corresponding shoe size in the table below.
-
Important Clearance: Ensure that your toes have sufficient space inside the shoe. For maximum comfort and safety, we recommend an internal clearance of at least one thumb's width (approx. 15 mm) between the toes and the toe cap.

How to Find the Right Safety Helmet Size
For maximum protection and wearing comfort, a safety helmet must fit perfectly: it should neither cause pressure points nor slip during movement. The foundation for the perfect fit is your individual head circumference.
Measuring Head Circumference Correctly:
- Positioning: Place a measuring tape horizontally around your head – approximately 2.5 cm (1 inch) above the eyebrows and just above the ears.
- Measurement Process: Ensure that the tape lies evenly against your head, but is not pulled too tight.
- Alternative without a Measuring Tape: If you do not have a measuring tape at hand, simply use a piece of string to determine the circumference and then measure it using a folding ruler or a standard ruler.
- Individual Adjustment: Use the determined value to choose the appropriate helmet size. Our safety helmets each cover a range of several centimeters. The helmet's suspension system (e.g., ratchet closure or slide adjustment) allows the interior to be adjusted precisely and securely to your head shape.
