Our History: From German Manufacturer to Global PPE Brand
It all began with our own glove production in Preußisch Oldendorf. Today, innovative strength and a global partner network form the foundation of our success. More than 30 employees work daily to inspire our customers with norm-certified, reliable products. We give our best every day to improve ourselves and our solutions, always with the goal of sustainably enhancing workplace safety.

Milestones in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Since its founding in 1948, Fitzner Occupational Safety has evolved from a local manufactory in Preußisch Oldendorf into an internationally active expert for branded workplace safety (PRO FIT®).
- 1948 – The Founding Phase: Wilhelm Fitzner Sr. lays the foundation in Preußisch Oldendorf. In the post-war era, production starts with work gloves made from tent fabric—one of the first major customers is the industrial giant Thyssen.
- 1949 – Growth & Quality:Expansion to 40 seamstresses. The quality promise "The best gloves from Germany" solidifies the reputation as a reliable producer.
- The Transition to a Brand Manufacturer: Transformation from a pure contract manufacturer to the development of the global proprietary brand PRO FIT®.
- Today – 3rd Generation: As an owner-managed family business, Fitzner today combines 70 years of tradition with cutting-edge innovation in the field of hand and head protection.
